Electronic Devices

Use of any Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) to store/enter any type of patient information is a violation of HIPAA and may result in disciplinary action which may result in dismissal from the program. PDAs may be used as a student resource, essentially as a textbook. Students are expected to conduct themselves in a manner which promotes a collegiate learning environment. Behaviors and attitudes which disrupt the learning environment will not be tolerated.

Pictures or recording of any kind (cameras, videos and/or audio recorders, cell phones and other devices) without specific permission of those involved in the classroom is not permitted. Students wishing to record the lectures must obtain prior permission from the faculty member.

Recordings of any kind (including photographs, videos, and audio recordings) is prohibited in any clinical setting without specific permission of patient, client, hospital or any institution where students are assigned. Violation will result in disciplinary action which may lead to dismissal from the program.
