Students have the responsibility to attend classes and to actively engage in all learning assignments or opportunities provided in the class. Attendance may be taken during class. Should illness, family crisis, or University-sponsored activities prevent the students' attendance, they should notify the course instructor as soon as possible. Students missing an examination due to a University approved absence will take the make-up examination on Dead Day. The following are examples of University approved absences:
Nursing faculty shall inform students, in writing, of any special attendance requirements at the beginning of the semester. See the course syllabus for specific details/regulations.
Clinical Attendance Requirements: Clinical is cancelled if the public schools are closed due to inclement weather in the city where the hospital is located.
