  • NURS 5245            Clinical Practicum: Advanced Medical-Surgical Nursing II

Clinical practicum courses (NURS 5141, 5111, 5225, and 5245) require students to be in clinical settings three contact hours per week per credit for a program total of 540 hours.

Thesis or Research Project:

  • NURS 579V (1-3) Independent Study OR
  • NURS 600V (1-6) Thesis

Nursing Education Option Courses:

  • NURS 5303            Foundations of Nursing Education
  • NURS 5313            Curriculum and Evaluation in Nursing Education
  • NURS 5323            Teaching in Nursing Practicum

The educational practicum course provides students with 180 hours in nursing education using a ratio of three contact hours per week per credit hour.
