Responsibilities:

    1. Providing leadership for the faculty staff, and students in the Eleanor Mann School of Nursing.
    2. Implementing the strategic plan, which includes development of a Master of Science in Nursing program.
    3. Supervising the administration and coordination of the academic programs, research activities and service functions in the school.
    4. Facilitating the procurement of grants and contracts from external sources.
    5. Working with faculty members to determine their annual teaching, research and service assignments.
    6. Coordinating and administering the annual evaluation of faculty and staff  members in the school and recommending merit increases for faculty and staff members.
    7. Reviewing faculty recommendations for tenure and promotion.
    8. Recruiting and recommending new faculty and staff members or positions in the school.
    9. Preparing and administering the budget for the school.
    10. Preparing documents and reports for the school.
    11. Facilitating faculty meetings in the school.
    12. Serving as the school’s representative on the college’s Administrative Council.
    13. Serving as a spokesperson for the Eleanor Mann School of Nursing with the college and university, outside the university, especially within the state.
    14. Maintaining effective collaborative working relationships with local, state, and national organizations and agencies.
