Responsibilities:
- Providing leadership for the faculty staff, and students in the Eleanor Mann School of Nursing.
- Implementing the strategic plan, which includes development of a Master of Science in Nursing program.
- Supervising the administration and coordination of the academic programs, research activities and service functions in the school.
- Facilitating the procurement of grants and contracts from external sources.
- Working with faculty members to determine their annual teaching, research and service assignments.
- Coordinating and administering the annual evaluation of faculty and staff members in the school and recommending merit increases for faculty and staff members.
- Reviewing faculty recommendations for tenure and promotion.
- Recruiting and recommending new faculty and staff members or positions in the school.
- Preparing and administering the budget for the school.
- Preparing documents and reports for the school.
- Facilitating faculty meetings in the school.
- Serving as the school’s representative on the college’s Administrative Council.
- Serving as a spokesperson for the Eleanor Mann School of Nursing with the college and university, outside the university, especially within the state.
- Maintaining effective collaborative working relationships with local, state, and national organizations and agencies.
